I've purchased two of these cases so far, one in Cordura for my Shires and one in Leather for my Thein. These cases fantastic!

Finding a generic case that can securely hold a bass trombone is not easy, but these cases can. They have configurable pads, which you can place where ever it's needed to make sure your axe is nice and snug.

They have a nice size accessories compartment inside and large compartment outside that can hold your sheet music and/or music books.

The look of the bag is slick, they "look" like a gig bag, but in reality it's a hard, padded cloth covered, fiberglass case. So it's slim in appearance (as slim as a bass trombone case can get anyways) and yet offer substantial protection.

And one of my favorite parts is that it comes with back-pack straps, enabling me to carry it on my back, which I love. Not only is it easier to carry and can be carried much longer, but it also frees up my hands to carry more stuff like my mute bag and stand.

There are two down sides to these cases though, although I don't think they are that big of an issue:

1. The leather case version is considerably heavier than the cordura version. I would suggest cordura over leather to anyone should they ask me.

2. If the cases aren't in stock with Irvin, then they can take quite a while to arrive. I don't believe this is through any fault of, but rather the manufacturer just not producing them fast enough. So if you wish to avoid any frustration, come to grips before you order that it can take months before the case arrives, but once it does I think you'll be very please with the product in your hands. Now this was the case when I ordered mine a couple of years ago, so maybe things have improved since then. Ask Irvin.

All in all, an excellent case for trombones.
